RDR Elysian Cordelia
On a Once a Day milking schedule. Bred to Goat-San Old Fashioned for 2023 kids. |
If there's ever been an, "I can't wait to see how this doe turn out", goat in our herd, this is her. When I first got on the waiting list for a Brita buck kid, I was judging a lot. I had the priviledge of judging larger and very competitive open shows. And I was hard pressed to find another doe in any herd whose General Appearance was as close to ideal as Brita's was. Couple that with her gorgeous rear udder attachment, and I couldn't wait to bring her genetics into our herd of moderately sized does with tremendous capacity and high production.
Cordelia is everything that I was hoping for all those years ago. The day she was born, we were comparing her to our foundation doe, Tuscany, who was another Hemingway daughter. But now, two years later, if you look at pictures of Cordelia and then pictures of Brita, she follows her sires dam in type and style in every way. I wish I had two more years with her to see how she matures. I think she's going to be a special one. |
